Princess Leonore of Sweden has a tea party for her 2nd birthday

Princess Leonore of Sweden is the star of an adorable new set of photos, which see the little royal celebrating her 2nd birthday with a traditional tea party. The toddler’s mother, Princess Madeleine, shared the sweet snaps with royal fans on her Facebook page on Saturday.

"Time flies- our Leonore is 2! Happiest of birthday wishes to our beautiful and sweet daughter," wrote the 33-year-old princess. Leonore is no doubt spending the special day with her mother, father Chris O’Neill, and younger brother Nicolas at their home in London, where they relocated in August.

In the photos, the young girl looks adorable smiling broadly for the camera, dressed in a short-sleeved blue-and-white dress. She finished off her look with a cute blue bow pinned in her hair.

The milestone birthday comes a month after the family enjoyed a luxurious holiday to the Soneva Fushi resort in the Maldives. The foursome stayed in a private villa on the isle of Kundunadhoo. The Princess and her husband, Chris, were spotted playing in the sand and frolicking in the water with their two young children.

After returning from their relaxing getaway, Madeleine uploaded several pictures from the holiday, giving fans a glimpse at young Prince Nicolas. She also uploaded several images of Leonore exploring the island and eating an ice cream on the beach.

Despite missing her home and family in Sweden, Madeleine has revealed that she is enjoying bringing up the children in England, away from the public eye. Crown Princess Victoria’s sister made the revelations after she admitted that she has always struggled with public attention.

"I’ve had [anxiety] all my life. One would think, and maybe expect, that I’d be comfortable in front of people, photographers and journalist who ask question. But I’m really not, I’m quite shy.

"I don’t like being the centre of attention. But as an official person as I am, this is something I have to deal with," she added.
