Princess Madeleine of Sweden knows that tea with a real-life princess is something little girls and boys can only dream of, which is why the royal opened the doors of her palace to host a group of adorable youngsters on Monday. The mother of two invited 12 children from across the country to the fairy-tale party.
The dress code was made very clear – princes and princesses! And Madeleine's own daughter Princess Leonore, who turned two over the weekend, attended in a pink frock complete with a matching bow and tutu.
Madeleine invited the children into her home in her role as patron of "Min Stora Dag," which translates as "My Big Day". The charity supports children with serious illnesses by granting them a wish, whether it's an excursion or an activity.
The little boys and girls, who were aged between five and eight, had travelled from all over Sweden to attend the royal party. They were treated to juice, cookies and cake and entertained by a magician.
In photos posted on Madeleine's Facebook page, her daughter Leonore looked as sweet as sugar as she played with her new friends. "Leonore and I had a wonderful afternoon with children from Min Stora Dag. We were all dressed up!" wrote the 33-year-old mom.
On Saturday, Madeleine thrilled royal watchers once again with new photos of birthday girl Leonore. "Time flies – our Leonore is 2!" she wrote. "Happiest of birthday wishes to our beautiful and sweet daughter."
The blue-eyed beauty uploaded a trio of gorgeous photos, showing Leonore blowing out her candles on a cupcake as she waved a starry wand.
