Just months before her royal romance began, Meghan Markle could only giggle at the prospect of choosing between Princes William and Harry. In a rapid-fire question round during an interview with Hello! In October last year, she was asked: “Prince William or Prince Harry?”

“I don't know,” said Meghan shaking her head and laughing.

“Harry?” she was prompted.

“Harry? Sure,” Meghan said with a chuckle, giggling at the question.

Little did she know at the time, she was just months away from meeting the younger Prince through friends and embarking on a serious relationship with him that has seen them both criss-crossing the Atlantic to be together in recent weeks. Meghan, who treated Harry to home-cooked meals during his recent visit to Toronto and was last week spotted stocking up on groceries near his Nottingham Cottage home at Kensington Palace, also talked about how she prefers to stay in rather than eat out.

Meghan, who until last month was best known for playing Rachel Zane in the legal drama Suits, also revealed that the last concert she went to had been an AIDS benefit in New York hosted by Sir Elton John – a good friend of Harry’s.
