Prince Harry and girlfriend Meghan Markle pictured together for the first time

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their public debut as a couple on Wednesday night (Dec. 14) and love was definitely in the air. The first ever photos of the couple together showed them enjoying an evening out at a play in the West End.

Harry and Meghan, who have been dating for around five months, stayed close as they took a stroll along Piccadilly and Shaftesbury Avenue, both bundled up in toques and winter coats as they walked inconspicuously amongst late night shoppers. Pictured in the Sun, the duo went to see a performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time at the Gielgud Theatre.

Toronto-based Meghan flew into London on Sunday to spend some time with her royal boyfriend before he heads to the Queen's Sandringham estate for Christmas with his family. The following day, Harry, 32, and Meghan, 35, went shopping for a Christmas tree together at Pines and Needles in London's Battersea Park, where they selected a modest six-foot Nordmann's fir.

MEGHAN WEARS HER FEELINGS FOR HARRY AROUND HER NECK

Sam Lyle, owner of Pines and Needles, told HELLO! Online: "We have looked after some of Britain's highest profile names for nearly 20 years but you could have heard a pin drop — or a needle — when Prince Harry and Meghan walked into the store.

"They were completely charming together and blissfully unaware that our jaws had hit the floor. They chose a gorgeous Nordmann Fir and walked away after exchanging Christmas pleasantries.

"We hope we can add them to our list of illustrious names who buy from us each and every year. There would certainly be a rush from our staff should they ask us to decorate it, too!"

Harry and Meghan have been racking up plenty of air miles between them in recent weeks as their long-distance romance continues to flourish. The Prince made a 1,700-mile detour to see Meghan following his two week Caribbean tour, and after a whirlwind two-day visit then jetted back to London to make a royal appearance.
