The royal palace’s store is stocked with pink and purple toys and a range of products including lip gloss, tiaras, costumes, pendants, and cutlery. While the collection is based on a fictional ‘Princess Charlotte’ character, Prince William and Kate’s little girl is definitely at the heart of the whimsical line of princess-approved accessories.
“Imagine yourself gliding down the corridors of Kensington Palace like Princess Charlotte with this delightful princess fancy dress,” reads the description of a formal tiered gown that is perfect for playing dress-up. The $60 (£35) dress is further described as a “garment for kids to feel like a princess in their very own home.”
This is not the first time the palace has sold bits and bobs of the famous family. Charlotte-inspired toys were released ahead of her birth in 2015 and a collection of memorabilia was commissioned for both the little princess and her brother Prince George’s christenings.
Earlier this year, the gift shop released a colouring book called “Colour in Kate,” which invites adults and children alike to customize the 35-year-old's iconic outfits with their own pretty patterns and colours, with most pages already partly coloured in to give them a creative prompt. The book has actually been in publication since 2013, but is enjoying a surge of popularity after eagle-eyed royal enthusiasts spotted it and were eager to get their hands on a copy.
