Prince William and Kate opened up about what they gave the Queen for her 91st birthday in a candid interview in BBC Radio 1, hinting to Scott Mills that they relied on their two children – Prince George and Princess Charlotte – to make their great grandmother a homemade gift. The Duchess of Cambridge said: "You're good at making things," to her husband before he added: "George is good at arts and crafts." She continued to say that the pair are getting the Queen something made.

Appearing on the radio show to surprise Adele Roberts, who is running the marathon for Head's Together, the group also chatted about whether they do in fact own mobile phones. After Scott asked the Prince if he was allowed to have one, he jokily replied: "We use our mobile phones far too much! We are allowed to have mobile phones." They then spoke about ordering takeaways, admitting that they love to order curry.

The second-in-line to the throne joked: "You struggle for choice. I struggle with spice." The pair also revealed what they loved to watch on a quiet night in, admitting that although Prince George loves Fireman Sam, they enjoy watching Homeland and Game of Thrones, with Prince William revealing that he used to be a huge fan of Neighbours while he was still at school. He even teased the radio DJ, telling him that the Queen is not a Radio 1 listener. However, the Prince is a big fan of the station himself, and admitted he once texted in for a shout out under a different name.
