Marc Jacobs officially wins engagement stories! The American designer proposed to boyfriend Char Defrancesco in the least likely of places, a Chipotle Mexican Grill in New York City, after surprising his significant other with a flash mob. The two shared videos of the low-key yet highly memorable event on their social media and we're obsessed.
As Prince's "Kiss" blared on the speakers, the cute couple watched a flash mob busting a move - and the high-end candlemaker clearly had no idea what was to come next as he happily taped the dancers on his phone. Marc, 54, got down on one knee and popped the question to his beau, who was clearly shocked and over the moon! He can be seen nodding yes before the two hugged and kissed.
The former Louis Vuitton creative director captioned the video: "And this happened...”Charly Defrancesco will you marry me”? #flashmobatchipotle#moves THANK YOU everyone for making this happen video @plural_nyc@laurengerrie@email@example.com And to my Ride or Die fiancé @chardefrancesco I LOVE YOU❤️"
Char also shared the clip on Instagram, saying "GET READY FOR THE ALL TIME GAG!!!!! Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen."
The engagement comes just days after Marc wished his partner a happy birthday on Instagram, calling him "the love of my life." This is sure to be a memorable birthday indeed!
