Wedding bells are ringing for Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam! The Monaco royals will be hard at work planning the couple’s nuptials for sometime in June, according to recent reports – and royal watchers of the world likely can’t wait for yet another royal fairy-tale to come to life.
French publication Paris-Match reported the film producer and his wife, who is Princess Grace’s granddaughter, will exchange vows in a civil ceremony in Monaco on June 21 or 29. The service will be followed by a religious celebration on either the Mediterranean island of Pantelleria or in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Carole Bouquet, Dimitri’s mom, lives on Pantelleria, an island off Sicily, where she runs a 13-acre vineyard estate.
It’s an exciting time for the darling couple, who welcomed their first child together – a baby boy named Balthazar – five months ago. The bundle of joy joined Charlotte’s five-year-old son Raphaël, whom she had while dating stand-up comedian Gad Elmaleh, and Dimitri’s seven-year-old daughter Darya, from a previous marriage.
The news of their wedding date comes in the wake of their rumoured split. In January, word began swirling that their nuptials were being called off, but the Monaco royal and her beau, 37, set the record straightin a joint statement.
According to sources close to HOLA! Spain, the pair assured their closest friends and family their big day is still on. Around the end of January, Princess Grace’s granddaughter was spotted in her home country wearing her engagement ring given to her by her filmmaker fiancé a year ago in Paris. How romantic!
