Many a bride and groom would want John Legend to perform at their wedding, but the singer gave first priority to his dogs Puddy and Pippa. John officiated the very intimate ceremony, while serenading his cute pooches with his romantic hit All of Me.

The one-of-a-kind event was captured on video, and at the start John is filmed saying, "Love, what would we do without love? What would we do without friendship? What would we do without each other?"

The camera then pans to his canine stars dressed up in their wedding attire and standing ready to woof "I do" in front of a singing John.

The nine-time Grammy Award winner played all sorts of roles in the big event, from wedding singer, to officiator, to best man raising a toast at the "reception".

As the only other guest present at the small ceremony, John, 36, was given the honour of cutting the wedding cake and handing the "newlyweds" each a bite of the sweet treat.

He then partied with his pets in the photo booth, donning props and colourful sunglasses for the camera.

John's model wife Chrissy Teigen, who he married in 2013, also played a cameo role in the video. The Thai-Norwegian beauty was seen returning home and stumbling upon the entertaining scene, and at first looks at her husband in shock and slight repulsion.

"I'm gonna go get a dress," she excitedly says after a moment's pause, dropping her grocery bags and rushing off.

The amusing video was made with a much more serious thought in mind. John has offered to hold a private concert at a couple's wedding or other celebratory event, such as a birthday party or bar mitzvah.

Fans have to pay to enter the competition, and money raised goes towards rebuilding the auditorium at the former South High School in Springfield, Ohio, as part of the Show Me Campaign.

According to its official website, the campaign, which John launched in 2007, aims to elevate and celebrate teachers, as well as end the school-to-prison pipeline and to address systemic issues in the American criminal justice system.
