Proud grandmother Kris Jenner opens up about baby North West
Proud grandmother Kris Jenner has spoken about daughter Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Kanye West's new baby girl, North West.
The E! star spoke openly onTuesday about baby North, who is
one week old, saying that she is 'amazing.' "Everybody's doing really well at home. ... The baby's doing great and
happy and healthy, and it's a really joyful time," she said on the Today
show.
Later on Tuesday, the proud
grandmother of North– born about five weeks early and weighing in at 4 lb 15 oz at birth – appeared on The
View. Kris, 57, explained the significance of her granddaughter's
compass-inspired name.
"I love the name North," Kris said of her third grandchild's moniker. "I'm pro-North, absolutely. The way [Kim] explained it to me was that North means highest power, and she says that North is their highest point together. And I thought that was really sweet."
Kris, who is currently promoting her new eponymously-named show, wouldn't share any more details on the newborn. When asked for a peek at a photo of the tiny bundle of joy, the protective grandmother joked, "I'd have to kill you if I showed you my cell phone."
"I'm giving birth to something on 15 July," she quipped about her
upcoming talk show, Kris.
"It's going to be really, really cool. It's more of a lifestyle show --
health and fitness and fashion and food. It's pop culture, obviously, because
we're kind of in the middle of all of that. It's straight from the
horse's mouth every day."
Kris isn't the only one
delighted with the arrival of North
West. It seems Kanye is showering all his love and
affection on girlfriend Kim and their baby daughter.
He is said to be "in love" with the baby, and didn't leave the
maternity room for the first few days after her birth. The couple have since
moved to a private property which remains undisclosed to the public.
"He's, like, in love with the baby," said reality TV star Larsa
Pippen, a close friend of Kim. "It's so cute."
