Jessica Alba has a rather interesting secret for losing the baby weight.
The beautiful brunette actress has revealed she wore corsets -- day and night, for three months! -- after the births of daughters Honor in 2008 and Haven in 2011 to get back into pre-baby shape.
"Your muscles are completely stretched," she explained to Health magazine. "It gets the muscle memory going quicker. It's just to get your body back. Because everything is everywhere!"
And Jessica isn't the only one. Several celebrities including Kourtney Kardashian, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jennifer Garner are all reported to have used constricting shapewear of some kind after giving birth, though the Sin City star admits her method might be a bit extreme.
“It was brutal; it’s not for everyone,” Jessica, 32, told fashion site Net-A- Porter. "I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it.”
Despite feeling the pressure to bounce back to her pre-baby body, Jessica says she's learned to move past insecurities since becoming a mum.
“I was more willing to wear short skirts after I had my kids. I never wore them before. Ever. I was so self-conscious. Now I'm a lot more confident in my skin -- because who cares? At the end of the day, it's so much time spent on something that really doesn't matter that much," she said.
