Paul Walker's girlfriend Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell is devastated over the loss

Paul Walker's girlfriend of seven years, Jasmine Pilcahrd-Gosnell, is completely devastated by the loss of her longterm love.

The college student is being comforted by her mother after the Hollywood star died aged 40 at the weekend in a car crash after a charity car show in Valencia, north of Los Angeles.

Jasmine’s uncle Barton Bruner told the Mail Online: "Paul was a really good guy and Jasmine is broken up by this. I went to Thanksgiving with him, played golf with him. "They had their ups and downs but they were together and looking to spend a bright future together. This is horrible news and unexpected."

Jasmine, 22, reportedly met Paul when she was 16 and he was 33. She is eight years older than his teenage daughter Meadow.

According to reports, Jasmine was beginning to become like a stepmother to 15-year-old Meadow, who had just moved in with Paul after spending most of her childhood with her mother Rebecca McBrain.

Paul and Rebecca, who had a brief relationship, shared custody of their daughter. The actor said relations were good between them: "I love my daughter so much, and I love her mom too. We get along so well."

Twitter was flooded with messages of condolence after Paul's sudden death on Sunday. Actress Olivia Wilde wrote: "Heavy heavy heart tonight. Paul Walker was a genuinely good, sweet, kind, laid back, loving person. Sending much love to his family."

Jessica Alba posted a picture of the handsome star and wrote: "He was a lovely person -so sweet and grounded. My heart goes out to his family."
