Chrissy Teigen and John Legend adopt three-legged puppy named Penny

A three-legged puppy named Penny has found a new home with Chrissy Teigen and John Legend.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and her singer husband adopted the little French bulldog over the weekend and shared their “newest family member” with fans via Instagram.

"She's a little tripod. She has been abused, and we are so excited to welcome her to the family," Chrissy told reporters at the Spike TV Guys’ Choice Awards on Saturday.

The couple, who married in September 2013, have two other bulldogs, Pippa and Puddy, with whom Penny already appears to be making fast friends. Chrissy shared another photo on Monday, June 9, which shows the playful pooches enjoying a laid-back game of tug-of-war together.

The pretty model and her Grammy Award-winning beau aren't the only stars who have opened their hearts to special needs dogs. Salma Blair found her cute one-eyed friend, Wink, at a shelter, and Sandra Bullock has three disabled dogs – a three-legged pooch named Poppy, a two-legged Chihuahua named Ruby and a one-eyed Chihuahua named BeBe.
