Rob Lowe’s European vacation home is evacuated after hazardous flood

Despite a raging flood in their European vacation home, Robe Lowe and his family are safe.

A torrential overnight storm flooded the first floor of their vacation home in Grasse, France, prompting Rob's son Johnny to post a photo of the chaos on Twitter with the caption: “Thank you to the fireman that saved us from this nightmare. Happy for us all to be safe, thoughts to others.”

The storm was particularly brutal and within hours the area was plagued by mudslides, road closures and blackouts. Reports from local officials stipulate that homes in the region were under up to 5 feet of water, which led to a rise in emergency rescues.

Rob and Johnny were in France as part of a family European tour to celebrate Johnny’s high school graduation. The famous family have been spotted in London, Cannes and Spain to date and recently dined with actor Roger Moore in Saint-Paul-de-Vence.

The horrifying ordeal was captured on Instagram by the Parks and Recreation actor: “This is right outside the house. Was twice as high at the worst, just before the sunrise,” Rob stated in a caption.
