After nearly 20 years together, Julianne Moore and her handsome husband Bart Freundlich appear to be more in love than ever.
The fiery-haired beauty showed that the most informal of outings in the Big Apple can be the most romantic, as the 53-year-old couldn’t take her eyes off her director hubby.
The couple, who started dating in 1996 and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held in the couple’s Greenwich Village backyard in 2003, walked arm-in-arm through New York, chatting and laughing as they went.
Julianne kept it casual for the stroll in black sporty trousers, a grey T-shirt and black leather jacket, while Bart, 44, wore a chambray shirt over a white T-shirt with a pair of faded navy jeans and black trainers.
The pair, who have two children together – son Caleb, aged 17, and daughter Liv, aged twelve – were enjoying some downtime following Julianne’s return from Toronto, where she was promoting her latest films Maps to the Stars and Still Alice at the International Film Festival.
There the star was credited for “a body-blow performance” for her role as 50-year-old Alice, a professor who heads into a downward spiral as she learns she has early onset Alzheimer’s disease.
When she begins to forget her favourite recipes and becomes lost in her own garden, she comes up with a desperate plan.
Julianne stars opposite Twilight star Kristen Stewart in the drama. Kristen, 23, plays Alice’s daughter Lydia, with whom Alice bonds with in a way they hadn’t yet done.
