It was a perfect fall night as Toronto’s elite graced the third floor Garden Terrace of The Shangri-La Hotel to attend the launch of the ALBANY Resort, a luxury resort community in the Bahamas. ALBANY is owned by UK Billionaire Joe Lewis, as well as and golf greats Tiger Woods and Ernie Els. The event, sponsored by Fashion Label Pink Tartan (pinktartan.com) and hosted by Albany’s Managing Director and Partner, Jason Callender and Tamara Moore, President of Ascent Destinations, featured a short and exclusive guest list. A-list attendees included a who’s who of Toronto’s financial, media, fashion, entertainment and professional sport communities.
Meanwhile, traffic was at a standstill on Toronto’s Mink Mile as stunning models posed and preened while wearing – well, practically nothing! What was all the fuss about? The very grand and jaw-dropping opening of Agent Provocateur’s first standalone store in Canada. Once inside, the models – also outfitted in the barely-there lingerie – mingled with guests and lounged luxuriously on velvet sofas. Nibbles were prepared by Chef Lindsay Shaw and music stylings were produced by New York DJ Hannah Bronfman, who flew in to town for the event. The Moët Chandon bubbles certainly did not hurt the mood either!
It was over to Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre, now best known for their bevy of luxury retailers, for the opening of Moncler’s first boutique in Canada. The high-altitude mason, which now has a network of stores in the world’s most important cities, hosted an ultra-fashionable crowd at their shiny new boutique. With tons of stock and winter just around the corner, it was hardly surprising that almost no one left without at least one bag hanging from their arms.
