Canada’s Walk of Fame Awards 2014: The red carpet, the induction ceremony, Ryan Reynolds and Rachel McAdams
With inductees like Ryan Reynolds and Rachel McAdams, Canada's 2014 Walk of Fame Awards gala was a megawatt affair.
The 35-year-old Canadian actress stunned in two glamorous gowns: a bombshell, black-and-white
Ryan, 37, opted for something a little more Canadian-inspired, pairing his formal black tuxedo with a bow tie and denim shirt.
The expectant father arrived to the event with his mother, Tammy Reynolds, while Rachel also elected to attend with family.
And that "family affair" mentality extended to other inductees, including hockey player Hayley Wickenheiser, who accepted her honour with her son, Noah Pacina.
Jason Priestley emceed the ceremony, while guests like actor Peter Fonda, Q host Jian Ghomeshi and Olympic medalist Clara Hughes doled out the awards.
When asked how it felt to be awarded the designation, Ryan joked,“Exciting. I can’t wait to step all over me.”
And the Canadian actor kept the mood light throughout, always ready with a joke.
“I have an assortment of cleaning products ready for the city maintenance workers of Toronto,” Ryan told Hello! about how he intends to maintain the integrity of the accolade.
