Just four weeks after Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis welcomed baby Wyatt Isabelle, the Two and a Half Men star is opening up about fatherhood for the first time.
Speaking to Conan O’Brien on his late-night talk show, the 36-year-old actor couldn't help but gush about his new role as a parent.
“It’s unbelievable. It’s the greatest thing on Earth,” said Ashton, beaming.
“As soon as this child was born, I immediately wanted to call my parents and just apologize – because I never knew how much they loved me,” he added, as the audience swooned.
When asked how he and Mila are coping with their newborn bundle of joy, the star admitted that he and his fiancée are raising the baby without any outside help.
“We’re really privileged that we have time and can afford to take time. So we don’t have a nanny or a night nurse of any of the stuff. It’s just the two of us,” he said, adding, “I feel like I’m a baby whisperer now!”
The actor further revealed the inspiration behind the baby’s name, telling Conan that he and Mila had a different moniker picked out before they settled on Wyatt. Their daughter's middle name, Isabelle, is named in honour of Mila’s grandfather, Yitzhak, which is Hebrew for Isaac - it is a Jewish custom to use the initial of a deceased relative to name your child.
The happy couple certainly seem to be taking parenthood in stride. On Monday, they were spotted on an elaborate ten-course dinner date with their newborn by their side.
