Taylor Swift, Scarlett Johansson and Neil Patrick Harris among Barbara Walters' 'Most Fascinating People' of 2014

She may have formally retired in 2013, but Barbara Walters isn’t about to say goodbye to her “10 Most Fascinating People” list. The broadcast journalist will air her annual ABC special in December - and she’s already announced five of the honourees!

“I know we said last year was our last, but there are just too many fascinating people out there," Barbara said in an announcement. "And you never pass up the opportunity to interview Oprah, Neil, Chelsea or Scarlett.” (Oprah Winfrey, Neil Patrick Harris, Chelsea Handler or Scarlett Johansson.)

For the first time, Taylor Swift has also made Barbara’s list and is expected to sit down for an exclusive interview with the former news anchor. Barbara, 85, has been selecting an eclectic array of personalities for her yearly roundup for more than two decades. Last year saw Prince George, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lawrence, Edward Snowden and the Pope among those selected. Hillary Clinton was named the most fascinating person of the past 20 years.

This year's special will air on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 9:30 pm ET. Who else do you think will make the list this year?
