It’s been a lengthy and well-deserved holiday for the Carter family! After braving the cold in Iceland over Christmas to celebrate Jay Z’s 45th birthday, Blue Ivy, Beyoncé and her rapper beau turned up the heat on their family vacation by heading to Southeast Asia for some fun in the sun.
First, the jet-setting trio headed to Thailand, where they reportedly stayed in a $25,000-a-night, $35-million villa at the luxurious Amanpuri resort in Phuket. Complete with a private chef, butler and around-the-clock maid service, the resort is said to have once hosted Prince William.
Next, hip-hop’s royal family visited Angkor Wat in Cambodia, where Beyoncé and Jay were spotted riding around the city on a motorbike in matching denim shorts and white t-shirts (Beyoncé accessorized the look with a red bandana while Jay sported a ball cap).
The snap-happy “Drunk in Love” songstress has been keeping fans updated on her adventures by posting beautiful photos of temples and Buddhist monks on Instagram.
Fans have been cooing over one particularly sweet snapshot from the trip, in which Blue Ivy can be seen visiting a petting zoo. In the snap, the toddler – who is sporting a gold crown to match Beyoncé's – cozies up to a baby tiger as mom and dad look on.
The Carter family certainly deserves a little R&R after the busy year they've had. The hardworking couple are coming off of their joint world tour ( On The Run), which ended in September following the conclusion of each of their individual tours.
