Shakira’s Miami mansion is back on the market. The Colombian singer is selling the gorgeous beachfront property for $12.9 million after lowering its initial asking price by nearly $2 million.
Originally listed for $14.9 million in 2013, the 8,600-square-foot home sits on a half-acre lot and boasts six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a luxe screening room and a private gym.
With its minimalist, all-white décor and a bright open layout, the zen-like abode also features an outdoor pool and sweeping ocean views.
Born and raised in Baranquilla, Colombia, Shakira moved to Miami in the late 1990s in the hopes of making it big in North America. In 2001 – the same year she released her number one crossover hit, “Whenever, Wherever” – the Latin songstress purchased the luxurious abode at the edge of Biscayne Bay for $3.4 million.
The Bay is home to a swanky strip of celebrity properties called “ Millionaire’s Row,” which is dotted with vacation pads owned by the rich and famous – including Matt Damon, Cher, Billy Joel and Jennifer Lopez.
The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer has come a long way since her Miami heyday. With two-year-old son Milan at home and another baby on the way, the international superstar and her soccer player boyfriend, Gerard Piqué, now split their time equally between Los Angeles and Barcelona.
The couple recently announced on Facebook that they would be celebrating their imminent new arrival with a 'World Baby Shower' in support of UNICEF, sharing an exclusive photo that showed off Shakira's growing baby bump.
