NHL hockey players and their wives aren't the only sporty power couples capturing public interest this week. With Super Bowl Sunday just around the corner, the spotlight is firmly on the NFL and their brawny star players – as well as the beautiful wives and girlfriends (a.k.a. WAGS) who will be cheering them on.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and model-wife Gisele Bündchen are one of the world's most famous and envied celebrity pairings. As the handsome football star stares down the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Gisele will likely be watching from a private perch above the field. The 34-year-old glamazon, with whom Tom has a son, Ben, 5, and daughter, Vivian, 2, is a passionate defender of her husband and his team.
Earlier this week, she tweeted "We love you daddy!!!!!" at Tom, 37, who was suffering a pre-game cold along with the rest of the family. "I've had it for four to five days," he told reporters at Super Bowl Media Day on Wednesday.
Tom and Gisele aren't the only high-profile NFL couples. Dallas Cowboy's Tony Romo is married to former TV news reporter Candice Crawford and Chicago Bear's Jay Cutler just recently welcomed a new baby with ex-Hills star Kristin Cavallari.
Newer to this group is Olivia Munn, who has been dating Green Bay Packer's QB Aaron Rodgers since the spring of 2014, as well as former Miss Alabama Katherine Webb who made headlines while watching Cincinnati Bengal AJ McCarron back at University of Alabama.
Then, of course, there's veteran NFL couples Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson (retired), Fox News' Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Tim Hasselbeck (also retired) and Kerry Washington, who is married to former San Francisco 49'er Nnamdi Asomugha.
With Super Bowl frenzy on high, it's time to celebrate NFL stars and their equally famous other halves!
