She may be a New York City girl at heart, but even Lena Dunham likes to get away from it all. The GIRLS creator is reportedly finalizing her purchase of a 2,500-square-foot house in Los Angeles for $2.7 million, a move that comes as a surprise to fans of the NYC-based star.
Lena famously revealed that she cannot spend more than two weeks at a time in L.A., telling Vogue last year, "more than two weeks and I start to get a very sad feeling. You eat well there, and you take hikes, and my dog loves it, but ultimately it's not the right place for me."
However, it seems that the 28-year-old producer and author seems to have had a change of heart, having warmed up to the idea of going back and forth between The Big Apple and the City of Angels.
Lena, who currently resides in a $4.8 million Brooklyn condo with her longtime boyfriend, Jack Antonoff, reportedly purchased the new West Hollywood pad as a place to stay while she edits the show.
Built in 1919, the American Craftstman-style house is located just a block below Sunset Boulevard and features three bedrooms, three bathrooms and much of the home’s original, country-chic décor, including french doors and cozy fireplaces.
If all that weren’t enough, the abode also boasts some celebrity history, having o nce belonged to Breakfast at Tiffany's star George Peppard.
