Michael Bublé, Robbie Amell, Celine Dion and more share excitement over NHL playoffs

Leave it to Celine Dion to remember her Canadian (or rather, Canadiens) roots during NHL hockey playoffs. The Quebec-born songbird joined a chorus of excited celebrities on Twitter ahead of Wednesday night's (April 15) puck drop, cheering on her beloved Montreal Canadiens while sharing an epic photo of herself sporting a Habs jersey.

Michael Bublé, too, may be enjoying a sunny vacation in Miami this week, but like any good Canuck, the British-Columbia native has only one thing on his mind: hockey.

The 39-year-old crooner shared a photo with fans on Twitter, which shows the “Haven’t Met You Yet” hit-maker enjoying a beachside holiday. However, unlike most celebrity vacation pictures, his snap did not feature a fruity cocktail, a champagne flute or designer sunglasses. Instead, Michael held up his NHL playoff pool picks card as a prop.

The musician, who is married to 27-year-old Argentinian model Luisana Lopilato, captioned the photo: “Let the games begin!! Made my picks for the @NHL playoffs! Please God, let this be the year. #NHLBracketChallenge.”

Michael, his wife and their 18-month-old son, Noah, landed in Miami on Tuesday, April 14. The couple, who have been married for four years, were spotted arriving at the airport looking happy and relaxed, even stopping to share a sweet kiss with each other as Michael held Noah in his arms.

The “Everything” singer isn’t the only star getting in on all the #NHLBracketChallenge action, in which fans predict the outcome of the tournament. Indeed, hockey fever is at an all-time high here in Canada, as the NHL playoffs kick off on April 15, with celebrities at home and abroad sharing their excitement.

Canadian Robbie Amell is a die-hard hockey fan

The DUFF star Robbie Amell posted his bracket challenge picks on Instagram (“’Cause the Kings can’t win it every year,” he explained), while Goon actor Marc-André Grondin tweeted his “guesses and hopes” while supporting his beloved Montreal Canadiens.

Still other stars were on hand to support their hockey playing beaus. Carrie Underwood and Julianne Hough both posted photos of themselves cheering on their NHL men. Dressing in team garb and writing words of encouragement, it was clear that both starlets are proud of their significant others' accomplishment of making it into the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Another former Idol alum, Kelly Clarkson, got into the team spirit. The singer snapped adorable photo of husband Brandon Blackstock holding 10-month-old baby River, who had coordinated her floral leggings with a tiny team jersey.

All ready to cheer on their favourite team, Kelly captioned the pic, "River's first sporting event! #GoPreds #Nashville she's so excited haha!"

They won’t be the only stars following along, either. Hollywood is filled with hockey fans, including Jay Baruchel, who turned 33 last week. He's been one of the Montreal Canadiens’ biggest fans for years and was made an honorary captain in 2013.

Alyssa Milano, too, gives die-hards a run for their money. She's designed official LA Kings merchandise and even erected a Kings shrine in her home! (Though sadly for Alyssa and other LA-based stars, the Kings didn't make the playoffs this year.)
