You can take the girl out of the country, but you can’t take the country out of the girl! After experiencing several break-ins at her previous home in Toluca Lake, Miley Cyrus has purchased a sprawling horse ranch just north of Malibu for $4.85 million.
Nestled in the gated community of California’s Hidden Hills, the 6,500-square-foot home has everything a Tennessee-turned-LA girl could ask for – including seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and rustic-chic finishes, like wood-beamed ceilings and French doors.
Outside, the 5.5-acre property boasts a 10-stall horse barn, a riding area, a swimming pool, a wraparound terrace and a vineyard that produces Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes.
The ranch also comes with a 1,000-bottle-wine cellar, so that Miley and her celebrity friends can have a party in the USA whenever her heart desires.
Last month, the pop star sold her family’s Los Angeles Toluca Lake mansion for $5.9 million, though she hadn’t been living there since 2011, when she bought a “party pad” of her own in the nearby neighbourhood of Studio City for $3.9 million. The Toluca house was broken into in November 2013 and again in June 2014, where thieves made off with Miley’s $135,000 Maserati along with some jewelry.
It’s thought that the singer was looking to buy a more secure home following the burglaries, but Miley also seems keen on returning to her country roots. The “Wrecking Ball” singer grew up on a 500-acre farm in Franklin, Tennessee before moving to Los Angeles as a child to pursue her signing and acting career.
The 20-year-old is in good company, as her new abode is located just down the street from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The neighbourhood has also been home to stars like Drake, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
