If Miley Cyrus seemed at all distracted on the set of her most recent video, love is definitely the culprit. The 22-year-old star was snapped in a passionate make-out session with model Stella Maxwell, hot on the heels of revealing that she's long been bisexual, and it seems the two are positively smitten.
The beautiful blonds have been spending a lot of time together, during which Stella has shared snaps of the pair partying and feeding farm animals with her 700,000 followers. Naturally, the world is abuzz with interest over Stella's background, so we've rounded up some facts about one of Victoria's Secret's newest Angels.
Stella has lived in a number of countries, from Australia and New Zealand to Belgium, where she was born. The main reason for this is that her Irish father, Maurice Maxwell, worked as a diplomat. But it was in New Zealand, during university, when Stella was discovered and launched her burgeoning modelling career.
A success in her own right, Stella has starred in campaigns for Alexander McQueen, H&M and Urban Outfitters, not to mention walking for Jeremy Scott and Marc Jacobs and shooting editorial spreads for Vogue. After walking in the 2014 Victoria's Secret fashion show, Stella was given her wings and the coveted position as one of the lingerie brand's Angels.
In addition to Miley, Stella's star-studded group of friends includes fellow model Barbara Palvin, Bella Hadid and Gone Girl actress Emily Ratajkowski. The blue-eyed beauty is bi-coastal, splitting her time between New York and Las Angeles. She told V magazine that she and Miley met via Instagram, saying "It's been a trip to hang out and see a little of their world. Felt very organic and right."
And it seems that the Cyruses would agree. “ Miley brought Stella home to meet her family and they really like her," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "Her parents are both on board because they see how happy Stella is making her. They’re happy that she’s happy, and that’s all that matters to them.”
Just last month, Miley covered Paper magazine and explained that she considers her sexuality and gender as fluid, and confessed her bisexuality to mom Tish at age 14. Taking up the torch of social advocacy, Miley launched the Happy Hippie Foundation to help LGBTQ youth who are mistreated and stigmatized for their sexuality.
