Will Ferrell’s comedy site Funny or Die is taking its hilarious humour on tour – and in September, the event will make a pit stop in Toronto. What’s more, the headliners are none other than laugh-out-loud A-listers Amy Schumer and Aziz Ansari.
Dubbed the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival, the event features some 20 other comics and kicks off on August 28 in Kansas City before heading north to the Big Smoke at the Molson Ampitheatre on Sept. 6.
Amy been killing it lately with the brash yet on-point brand of feminist humour she showcases on her sketch-comedy show, Inside Amy Schumer. She’s even appeared on television, including an episode of The Bachelorette, where she met with some of the housemates and hilariously dissected their relationships with current bachelorette Kaitlyn. Furthermore, the 34-year-old’s first feature film, Trainwreck, which she penned and in which she stars alongside Bill Hader, hits theatres on July 17.
Aziz has been just as busy. The former Parks & Recreation cast member recently starred in two feature films – Date and Switch and Food Club – and he just released his first book, entitled Modern Romance: An Investigation. The compilation dissects the many pitfalls people face when dating in the modern world, including texting and Tinder.
