RYAN REYNOLDS
The Canadian star is a real life superhero! The Deadpool actor revealed that he once saved his nephew's life thanks to his knowledge of CPR. Taking to Instagram to promote the importance of learning the life-saving tool, Ryan wrote, "Years ago, I took a CPR course through the Red Cross… I ended up saving my nephew's life because I knew what to do! True story! Yesterday I took a refresher course -- focusing on infant and toddler CPR."

KATE WINSLET
While vacationing at Richard Branson’s Necker Island escape with some 20 houseguests, including her two children, the actress woke to life-threatening trouble in paradise. In the wee hours of the morning a fire had broken out due to lightning from Hurricane Irene and Kate helped evacuate everyone from the house – including the mogul’s 90-year-old mother, Eve.

JENNIFER LAWRENCE
Much like her Hunger Games’ character, Katniss Everdeen, Jennifer Lawrence isn’t afraid to drop everything for the sake of someone in need. The 24-year-old witnessed a young lady collapse outside her Santa Monica apartment complex in 2012 and rushed to her aid, joining a male bystander to contact paramedics and waiting to ensure that they arrived and the unconscious woman would be OK.

RYAN GOSLING
The Canadian father of one has had a few opportunities to give us yet another reason to love him. In 2012, while strolling in New York, Ryan saw a woman wander into a busy intersection and pulled her back just in time to avoid being hit by a cab. The British journalist, who was not accustomed to American road rules, later tweeted, “I literally, LITERALLY just got saved from a car by Ryan Gosling. Literally. That actually just happened.” A year prior, the ‘Drive’ star spotted a brawl in the middle of the street and broke it up by settling the dispute between an artist and a thief. Ryan later shared his embarrassment over getting involved, stating ‘I should have just kept my nose out of it.’

Members Stephan Jenkins and Brad Hargreaves were surfing in North Carolina when they heard cries for help from some teenagers, who were caught in a rip current close by. They quickly paddled to their rescue, lifting them up on their surfboards and taking them to shore.

He may play villain Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, but Jamie Foxx was a hero on the evening of Jan. 18, 2016, when he successfully pulled a driver from a burning truck. After driver Brett Kyle's truck flipped and burst into flames, Jamie stopped and got a tool from his car to help smash the windows and retrieve Brett.

He may insist on driving fast and furious on screen, but the now-48-year-old actor saw how dangerous cars can be back in 2002, when a casual motorbike ride ended up with the actor pulling children from a burning car. After crashing and bursting into flames, Vin grabbed the tots and helped instruct the driver to safety.

Showing the ferocity of a lioness protecting her cubs, Heidi Klum came to her son’s rescue in Hawaii in 2013. The supermodel was relaxing on the beach when a riptide swallowed her eldest boy, Henry, and two nannies. Heidi and her boyfriend jumped into action to pull the trio from the current and save the day.

TOM CRUISE
Though they may have seemed like impossible missions, Tom Cruise has helped save complete strangers on numerous occasions. In the ‘90s, after witnessing a hit-and-run car accident, the actor stopped to make sure an ambulance was en route and ended up paying the victim’s $7000 hospital bill. While in London premiering ‘Mission: Impossible’ in 1996, Tom freed two youngsters who were pinned against the fence by the mob of fans. Later that year, while yachting with then-wife Nicole Kidman, the couple spotted five people struggling to stay afloat as their sailboat burned. Tom sprung to the rescue by sending his own skiff.

DEMI MOORE
52-year-old Demi Moore is one of Hollywood’s savviest social-media mavens, and she’s used her Twitter skills to save a soul on more than one occasion. After receiving a message from a distraught woman in 2009 who shared her plans to commit suicide, Demi reposted the message to help officers track the woman down and take her for help. On another occasion, she responded to a teenage boy’s suicide tweet, catching the attention of actress Nia Vardalos and helped to get the boy help. He later updated the Twitterverse on his improving status.

Showing at least one trait he has in common with Indiana Jones, Harrison swooped in to rescue a 13-year-old who was lost in Yellowstone National Park. The seasoned pilot air-lifted the Boy Scout to safety.

PATRICK DEMPSEY
He may have met his maker as McDreamy on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ but Patrick Dempsey is in the habit of preserving lives off screen. Back in 2012, the actor watched a car crash and flip near his Malibu homestead and did what any Good Samaritan would: grab a crow bar, run to the scene of the wreck and pull a teenage boy to safety.

T.I.
When T.I. sang the lyrics “you can have whatever you like,” fans didn’t realize that this included a knight in shining armour. The rapper was en route to get a bite to eat when he witnessed a terrible car accident, which had left one car on its side. The 34-year-old ran to the aid of the woman in the flipped car, who instantly recognized him, and kept her company until an ambulance arrived. In another incident in 2010, the A-list angel caught wind of a suicide attempt on the radio and raced straight to the 400 Colony Square building in Atlanta. Working with police to create a video for the jumper, T.I. helped talk the man off the ledge.
