While Kim Kardashian’s appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres show made the headlines, a backstage encounter between Kim’s daughter North West and the talk show queen trumps in cuteness. The adorable exchange, posted on Kim’s Instagram, sees Ellen helping the two-year-old groom her My Little Pony toys.
Clad in a polka-dot shirt and holding the purple-haired pony with great concentration, Ellen looks on as a black-clad North brushes the toy’s hair. The toddler smiles while working on the purple mane, looking adorable with her curly hair in a ponytail atop her head. “Well this is right before I went on…Northie & Ellen brushing My Little Pony’s hair lol” Kim captioned the photo.
The expectant star sat down with Ellen to talk about her second pregnancy and the ongoing debate she faces with husband Kanye West over baby names. “I do like the name Easton. Easton West,” said the reality star, but “I don’t think [Kanye] likes that name. I don’t think we’ll go another direction. It’s definitely not South, every time someone says South, I just want to roll my eyes.”
It was recently reported that the Kardashian-Wests will have an extra merry Christmas this year with the couple’s son expected to arrive on or around Dec. 25. The happy baby news comes after a long and challenging journey for Kim, who has been open about her fertility struggles. Speaking to Glamour magazine earlier this year, the 34-year old confessed that, “There were definitely times when I walked out [of the doctor’s office] hysterically crying and other times when I was like, ‘Okay, everything’s looking good, it’s going to be this month!’ The waiting and waiting has been a roller coaster.”
It looks like the star is feeling happy and healthy in her third trimester, as she has been showing off her growing bump in a series of monochromatic body-con ensembles at events in New York and Los Angeles. Most notably, Kim took North to New York Fashion Week to cheer on Kanye as he presented his second Yeezy collection to a star-filled crowd that included Anna Wintour and Drake.
