Video of the day: Michelle Obama’s inspiring words for teen girls
Michelle Obama joined Charlize Theron and Sophia Bush at Glamour's "The Power of an Educated Girl" event in New York City on Wednesday (Sept. 30) to chat with a captivated audience of 1000 girls. The First Lady delivered a powerful and moving speech about the importance of education for girls around the world, a message she promotes through her Let Girls Learn initiative. “If I had worried about who liked me and who thought I was cute when I was your age, I wouldn’t be married to the President of the United States today,” proclaimed the mother of two, who has worked tirelessly with her husband to ensure all girls complete their schooling.
