“Hello Instagram!” writes Celine Dion alongside her first-ever picture on the photo-sharing app. Keeping in tune with the platform's most popular pose, the Canadian songstress made her debut with a perfectly framed selfie.
Like her other social media sites on Facebook and Twitter, Celine’s following on Instagram is rapidly growing as fans clamber for more behind-the-scenes and personal snaps from the singer. Celine hasn’t shied away from sharing photos from her life in Las Vegas or of her family, including twins Nelson and Eddy, 5, whose birthday she celebrated on Oct. 23 and shared on Twitter.

As the 47-year-old marches on in her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, her husband René Angélil continues his battle with throat cancer. In September, Celine performed an emotional tribute to her ailing husband, proving that he is never far from her mind. While singing her beautiful song, “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” home footage of 73-year-old René and their three children played in the background.
Celine isn’t the only A-list celebrity to make their mark on Instagram. Penélope Cruz, Prince and Henry Cavill are all new card-carrying members of the platform. While the “Purple Rain” singer has been posting fun videos and throwback pictures, Penélope is using the app to raise awareness for a children’s cancer charity of which she acts as an ambassador. The Oscar-winning actress’s first post features an eight-year-old boy named Lucas, a leukemia survivor who will be featured in an upcoming documentary directed by the stunning Spanish star.
