Anne Hathaway celebrated her recent People’s Choice Awards nomination by paying tribute to the other ladies in her category. Instead of tweeting her congratulations to fellow Favourite Movie Actress nominees Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep, Melissa McCarthy and Scarlett Johansson, the Oscar-winning actress created a collage of the women’s high school yearbook pictures.
“ Uh, they were even cute in high school. Very proud to be nominated with these women for this year's @peopleschoice award for favorite movie actress! #pcas” wrote Anne, who already has seven nominations to her name. The star of the upcoming Alice Through the Looking Glass doesn’t shy away from posting her own throwback pictures, including a snapshot from her soccer-playing days as a teen and unforgettable fashion looks from her early days as an actress.
Anne has had the pleasure of starring in films with two of her fellow nominees, Scarlett Johansson and Meryl Streep. She had a very small role in 2013’s Don Jon, which saw Scarlett romancing Joseph Gordon-Levitt, while her on-screen relationship with Meryl blossomed in 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in 2014, Anne recalled that her first meeting with the iconic actress on the set of the fashion flick quickly turned serious. “When I met her she gave me a huge hug. [And] I’m like, ‘Oh my god, we are going to have the best time on this movie.’ And then she’s like, ‘Ah sweetie, that's the last time I'm nice to you.’” She went on to reveal that Meryl stayed in character as ice-queen Miranda Priestly until filming was completed, but the two then became close friends. “[Meryl] is the most amazing, warm person,” gushed Anne.
