Scottish actor Gerard Butler, who is currently in Canada filming the movie The Headhunter’s Calling, was spotted by etalk cameras enjoying an afternoon exploring Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood on Saturday (Nov. 7).
Unlike many men who are growing facial hair in support of Movember, the often-bearded star showed off a clean-shaven look as he dined at ritzy Sassafraz on Cumberland Street with his longtime assistant, Amy. The actor’s girlfriend, Morgan Brown, who was spotted in September when she was in town for the Toronto International Film Festival with the actor, was absent. The couple have been dating for more than a year, but despite engagement rumours that kicked into high gear earlier this year, it doesn’t appear as if the famed Lothario is in any rush to get married.
The Headhunter’s Calling, which is scheduled to wrap production in early December, co-stars Willem Dafoe and Community’s Alison Brie. Gerard plays a successful headhunter who puts his life on hold after his 10-year-old son is diagnosed with cancer. Matthew McConaughey was originally attached to the project in 2010, but later turned down the role.
Earlier this week, Gerard posted a trailer to his upcoming action flick London Has Fallen, in which he plays a secret service agent tasked with saving the president of the United States after a terror attack leaves him vulnerable and on the run. The film is scheduled to hit theatres in March 2016.
