Listed: Taraji P. Henson's $3.25-million home has a Cookie-worthy dressing room

Taraji P. Henson's house is the kind of pad her Empire character Cookie would live in – it’s over-the-top, regal and completely dramatic. A peek of the palace showed up online after the mom of one listed the property.

The 4,202-square-foot, three-storey property boasts four bedrooms, five baths and will set a buyer back US$3.25 million. It includes a gourmet kitchen looking out on a large Buddha statue, custom cabinetry, a massive pantry and a wine cellar that holds more than 600 bottles. The delux property sits on a large lot where the Golden Globe nominee could sip a glass of wine while taking in sweeping views of Los Angeles.

Taraji's Los Angeles home was built in 2009.

But it’s the custom-designed dressing room that really sells the space.

Upon moving in, Taraji converted one of the home’s sleeping spaces into a glamorous closet and vanity where she could prep for big nights out on the town. Laced with dark-wood features, walls of closets and racks culminate in a beauty mecca, complete with red leather salon chair, presumably where Taraji could try the latest hair and makeup trends.

The open-concept home features dark wood and Zen accents.

It’s easy to see why – and how – the leopard print-loving lady always looks so stylish, on- and off-screen. She readily admits she wasn’t always so sartorially savvy, though.

“It took me awhile to get on the chic bus. I was coming from the era of Lil’ Kim and Mary J. Blige; you know, ghetto fabulous,” the A-lister recently told Harper’s Bazaar about her style. “I came from nothing. I was deprived all my life, so when you get money, you go big!”

We're pretty sure even Cookie wouldn't argue with that.
