Khloé Kardashian continues to keep fans updated on former husband Lamar Odom's recovery since he was hospitalized in October. Although a drug overdose left the basketball player in critical condition, she says he's making great progress where his speech is concerned.
"He is doing so much better," a source tells E! News. "His speech has improved dramatically. He still has a way to go, but his progress over the past month has been great."
It seems the former NBA star's ex Khloé's support has played a part in Lamar's recovery. "They are just so close right now," the source revealed. "If he is not in therapy, he is often with her."
The estranged couple have been spending a lot of time together and sharing meals every evening. "Lamar and Khloé are trying to make sure they have dinner together every night," added the source.
Khloé talked about her close relationship with Lamar on Monday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, telling the TV host that he's not going through the recovery alone.
"He's hung out with Kourt's and [Kim Kardashian]'s kids. He loves family time," the reality-TV star said. "So, he's been doing really good. I think it makes him feel good to be around everyone, too, and to just be in a happy environment over obviously where he was."
Khloé's brother Rob Kardashian, who has been coping with his diabetes diagnosis, made sure to spend time with Lamar during this difficult time. "The guys have taken comfort in each other," a source previously told E! News.
