Female stars who are sure to be watching the Super Bowl

Brooklyn Decker
You can count on Brooklyn Decker to be cheering on her Carolina Panthers this Super Bowl Sunday. Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, the model/actress developed a deep love for the team, and says that during football season her husband Andy Roddick becomes a “football widow.” Speaking to Access Hollywood, the 28-year-old explained, “I think football is something very nostalgic for people. People really enjoy getting lost in the sport. It’s the purest form of entertainment.”

Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood may have married NHL star Mike Fisher of the Nashville Predators, but the country star has always had a place in her heart for football. “Grew up - every Sunday, every Monday we were just all about football,” she tells Country Weekly. The "Heartbeat" singer is also the face and voice of the Sunday Night Football intro, tailored each week to the game of the night. You can catch this Oklahoma-raised beauty cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Demi Lovato
Although Demi was born in New Mexico, the football fan was raised in Texas, where her mom was a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Back in 2008, the "Confident" singer performed during her favourite team's Thanksgiving game, and three years later she belted out the national anthem when the Cowboys took on the Seahawks.

Ellen DeGeneres
Daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres makes no secret of the team that she and wife Portia de Rossi cheer on each season. Born in Louisiana, not only is Ellen a big New Orleans Saints fan but she’s also a Green Bay Packers fan. The pigskin-loving comedian also likes seeing who her fans are rooting for, calling out for photos of viewers decked out in their teams' colours. And though Ellen’s picks aren't in this year’s Super Bowl, we're sure that won’t stop her from rocking the green and yellow.

Elizabeth Banks
It's no wonder the 41-year-old actress did an awesome job with commentary in Pitch Perfect 2, being that she’s a huge sports fan! Not only does she religiously cheer on the New England Patriots but she is also a huge fan of fantasy football. Elizabeth co-authored the book Why Fantasy Football Matters (And our Lives Don’t), which she wrote with her husband (also an avid fantasy sports fan) Max Handelman.

Gisele Bündchen
The New England Patriots have a very special place in supermodel Gisele Bündchen’s heart. The 35-year-old has been married to New England quarterback Tom Brady since 2009. The couple has two children together, Benjamin and Vivian, who they are of course raising to be Patriots fans. Gisele recently posted an adorable photo of daughter Vivian on her Instagram feed, holding up a sign that reads, “We love you daddy! Go Pats!”

Fergie
Nothing says “I love football” quite like becoming a limited partner for an NFL team. Back in 2009, Fergie took on the role for the Miami Dolphins, though hubby Josh Duhamel is a hardcore Vikings fan. Their son, two-year-old Axl, was introduced to football as early as one-month-old when Josh took to Instagram to share a special father-son bonding moment when the two watched his favourite team. But only time will tell if Fergie can convince him to become a Dolphins fan!

Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson married the former NFL tight-end for the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints back in 2014, and she and Eric Johnson have two children together, Maxwell, 3, and Ace, 2. Eric isn’t the only football player Jessica has been with, as she dated Dallas Cowboys player Tony Romo from 2007 to 2009.

Alyssa Milano
Sports fanatic Alyssa Milano brings women’s sports apparel to a whole new level with her Touch Fanatics clothing wear and her collaboration with Jamie Chung on the NFL Apparel campaign. The 43-year-old actress roots for the New York Giants and hopes that her love for the team will be passed down to her two children, Milo, 4, and Elizabella, 1. “If they become Eagles fans, I may need to look for new children,” she joked to People.

Mila Kunis
Mila Kunis can thank hubby Ashton Kutcher for converting her into a huge football fan, specifically one devoted to the Chicago Bears. Mila admits that she knew nothing about football until she started dating her former That 70s Show costar. “I truly knew nothing about it, and now I know way more than I ever intended to,” she told Conan O’Brian. Ashton is such a fan that he hopes one day daughter Wyatt will be the very first female professional NFL coach for the Chicago Bears.

Kristin Cavallari
Mila Kunis isn’t the only one rooting for the Chicago Bears. Former Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari cheers on her hubby, quarterback Jay Cutler, every football season. The two married in 2011 and have two sons - Camden, 3, and one-year-old Jaxon - and a daughter, three-month-old Saylor. The famous parents are always busy but they manage to plan out a working schedule. “During football season, I don’t work very much, so I can be home and focus on taking care of the boys,” Kristin tells the Chicago Sun-Times. “But during Jay’s off-season, we swap roles.”

Holly Robinson Peete
When it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles, Holly Robinson Peete is your go-to girl. She went from living in a house with her father that “bled Eagles green” to marrying the former quarterback of her favourite NFL team, Rodney Peete. “That was a dream wrapped inside a fairytale wrapped inside a fantasy for my dad,” Holly tells Chicks in the Huddle. When Rodney was still on the team he would share the playbook and they would go over plays together, but now Holly says she enjoys watching the Eagles without the stress of it impacting their livelihood.
