Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston and more superstitious celebrities

Some of today's hottest stars are firm believers in the power of superstition. While Taylor Swift can't shake off her loyalty to the number 13, Jennifer Aniston won't board a plane without completing a special ritual.
Here, we round up some of the superstitions that keep celebrities in check.

TAYLOR SWIFT
The number 13 is anything but unlucky for Taylor Swift. “I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro,” she has said.

BEYONCE
Years before Lemonade, Beyoncé released her album 4. The number has always meant something to the star. “We all have special numbers in our lives, and four is that for me,” says Queen B. “It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday and a lot of my friends’ birthdays are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date.”

JENNIFER ANISTON
When her career takes her all over the world, Jennifer Aniston has a special pre-flight ritual. “If I walk onto an airplane, I always have to go on with my right foot first and tap the outside of the plane. I have always done it. For luck,” she says.

BRADLEY COOPER
The actor is as serious about the Philadelphia Eagles as his character is in Silver Linings Playbook. “I have a superstition that when I actually do physically watch the game, they lose,” says Bradley. “I love to watch the Eagles play. But I just feel like the last couple of years, every time I’m away they win and when I’m watching they lose.”

NATALIE PORTMAN
Before her son’s birth, the Oscar winner told reporters she wasn’t planning too far ahead for life as a family of three because she’s “very superstitious.” She and her husband Benjamin Millepied welcomed their baby, Aleph, in June 2011.

SAOIRSE RONAN
The Brooklyn star reveals she didn’t let herself get too excited about her emerald Calvin Klein Collection dress for the Oscars ahead of time. “They took into account how I felt in the dress; how I moved, how comfortable I was,” she says. “Me being superstitious, it was something I didn’t want to think about until I was nominated.”

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN
The mom-of-three often documents her flying superstition on social media. "When I go on an airplane, it's right foot first and then I kiss two fingers and touch the plane. When I take off, I cross two fingers on my right hand and put both my thumbs up," she once explained.
