Justin Bieberrevealed one of his many hidden talents on Tuesday (June 28) while on vacation at a lake with friends Martin Garrix and Andrew Wyatt. In a series of videos posted to his 73 million Instagram followers, the 22-year-old showed off his impressive wakeboarding skills.
In the videos, Justin could be a professional wakeboarder, looking relaxed as he concentrates on maintaining his balance amidst the waves as he follows the boat. Although the Love Yourself hitmaker has tried wakeboarding before, it seems that he has now mastered the sport.
However, Justin admitted that he is still working to improve his skills, including controlling the board at higher speeds. "I wanna go fast 45mph," he wrote in the caption accompanying footage of himself zooming across the water.
Showing off his sense of humour, the singer also shared a clip featuring a split screen of himself on the wakeboard, alongside footage of Martin trying his luck at the sport, only to fall in the water.
The trio have been keeping fans updated with details of their trip, which also saw them stop in a music shop where Justin tried his hand at playing the double bass. Sharing a snap of himself playing the instrument, Justin beamed for the camera, quipping in the caption that this was "the face you make when you play a stand up bass".
No doubt the American superstar has been making the most of his downtime following a hectic few months. Kicking off his Purpose tour earlier this year, Justin surprised fans when he took to Instagram to announce that he would no longer be doing meet-and-greets at his concerts.
"I enjoy meeting such incredible people but I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy," he wrote in the heartfelt post. "Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression.
"The pressure of meeting people's expectations of what I’m supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders.
"Never want to disappoint but I fell I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can't tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn't so hard on me… and I want to stay in the healthy mindset I'm in to give you the best show you have ever seen."
