
Emmys 2016: Full list of winners
The 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were handed out in Hollywood on Sunday (Sept. 18) and this year’s winners’ list is jam-packed with first timers and repeat winners. From Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon nabbing her first trophy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series to Jeffrey Tambor capturing the trophy for Lead Actor in a Comedy for the second straight year, the podium was kind to many of TV’s most talented stars.

It was a golden night for Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who captured her sixth career trophy for her leading role in TV's Veep. The actress dedicated her win to her father who passed away on Friday. "His opinion was the one that really mattered," she said holding back tears.The actress now holds the title for most wins in the Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category.
Canada was well represented in Hollywood as Regina-native Tatiana Maslany picked up her first award for Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Rami Malek was also a first-time winner, accepting the trophy for his leading role in Mr. Robot.
