Madonna is the latest hitmaker to hop in the car with James Corden to film an instalment of his popular Carpool Karaoke series. The "Material Girl" shared the exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday (Nov. 16), posting a fun selfie of herself and the Late Late Show presenter after they finished filming the segment.
"Riding around Manhattan with the Hunk of Burning Love," she wrote in the accompanying caption, prompting speculation that the pair will be taking on Elvis Presley's hit Burning Love during their drive. "@latelateshow carpoolkaraoke."
Carpool Karaoke has become immensely popular since James launched the segment which sees him taking a celebrity for a spin in his car while singing their biggest hits and favourite songs.
Madonna will be joining an already impressive list of high-profile stars who have joined the comedian for a drive including Stevie Wonder, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, Adele, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez One Direction, Justin Bieber and Gwen Stefani.
Even First Lady Michelle Obama has made an appearance, driving with James around the grounds of the White House while singing along to tracks including Beyoncé's hit Single Ladies, and Get your Freak On with Missy Elliott.
It comes as no surprise that James has asked Madonna to take part – she is no doubt one of the world's biggest music icons.
Ever since she burst on the scene in the 1980s with hits such as Like A Prayer and Papa Don't Preach, the mother-of-four has firmly remained one of the best-selling artists of all time, winning hundreds of prestigious awards throughout her career and collaborating with countless stars including Justin Timberlake, Ricky Martin and Annie Lennox.
Music isn't the only industry she has conquered, boasting an impressive acting career including roles in Desperately Seeking Susan and A League of Their Own.
