Former couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony stole the show on Thursday night (Nov. 17) at the 2016 Latin GRAMMY Awards, where they shared a sweet and unexpected kiss. The mom of two presented her husband with the Person of the Year award after the duo treated audiences to a performance of their new single "Olvidame y Pega la Vuelta."
Just hours later, E! News reported that Marc and his wife of two years, Shannon De Lima, are separating. While she wasn't on hand at the awards show, the singer made it clear in his acceptance speech that his smooch with his ex was like "kissing a sister."
The "Jenny From The Block" singer, 47, paid tribute to her ex, saying, “Marc is a living legend who strips his heart and his soul in his musical journey.” She continued in Spanish, calling him, “A composer, producer and singer, he is a magical and pure artist that gives us classics that will remain with us forever.”
“In our own personal and artistic journey we have learned and grown so much,” she continued. “You will always be many things in my life: my mentor, my soulmate, a father. He isn’t just the Person of the Year, he is the person of an entire lifetime, for all of history. And it is an honour, to present you with this award for Person of the Year.”

At the crowds request, after chanting “beso” meaning kiss in English, Jennifer sealed the moment with a kiss on Marc’s lips. The pair’s public embrace quickly went viral.
Marc, 48, took to his Twitter and Instagram accounts on Friday to poke fun at the buzz-worthy moment, sharing photos of himself kissing both female and male friends. He wrote on social media, "Good morning, mi gente! Share your beso. #elbesoeffect #magnusstrong #whatsurbeso.”
Jennifer and Marc split in 2011 after seven years of marriage. The singers, who finalized their divorce in 2014, share eight-year-old twins Emme and Max. Jennifer split from her on-off boyfriend Casper Smart, who she had been dating since 2011, this past August.
