Jillian Harris and Leo team up with Wayfair to make over their Vancouver Condo

Jillian Harris has opened the door to her Vancouver condo to show off her home's chic new makeover.
The Love It or List It Vancouver host teamed up with Wayfair to refresh the space's living room, master bedroom and nursery for her adorable son Leo.
Here, the Canadian star opens up about her approach to design and invites fans to shop the look!

What was your inspiration when designing this home?
To be completely honest, I designed everything with Leo in mind. Even though it’s still delicate and there is a ton of white… it is still baby friendly and functional. We got rid of the knickknack’s and low clutter, the hard edges, replaced with lots of soft cushy corners and added in some pops of colour and softer finishes.

How does your personal style affect your interior design style?
I definitely think fashion and interior design go hand in hand. If you have good style in one you will PROBABLY have good style in the other!! It’s all about having a good eye for what looks good together. I would say my overall style for fashion is very similar to interior design.

How has Leo affected your design choices? Any advice for new moms when it comes to decorating?
COLOUR!!!!!! Before I had Leo I wanted his nursery to be white, grey and neutral, including his toys. Now that I am watching him grow and develop I understand the importance of colour and decorating with colour. That is why I wanted to add in pops of colour for him and I absolutely love the way it turned out.

Any elements or pieces you knew you just had to include in order to achieve the look you wanted?
The couch was essential to change the living room into a comfortable space for both Leo and I. Also adding in a thick knit rug into Leo’s nursery was key to add a softer element and a more cozy space.

What’s your secret to keeping a balanced, happy home, and making sure it remains a place of relaxation?
I am DEFINITELY still working on that. Ultimately my house needs to be clean and in order at all times so that when I’m home I can just relax and focus on Leo and my family. It is definitely hard to balance but I am fortunate to have help from a few different people who make it A LOT easier on me!
I hate clutter, paper, too many knickknacks. I am all about tons of storage and having a ‘everything has its place’ mantra.

What are some of your favourite pieces throughout the house?
I love the headboard in my bedroom. Leo’s nursery chair I had my eyes on for quite some time. The changing table downstairs is perfect to keep things looking clean and organized … and I love love love the new couch it’s like a king size bed in our living room!! even though the space is small, the couch is oversized and perfect for cuddling Leo on!

What advice do you have for those who want to achieve your style?
Don’t expect it to fall into place after the first try. If it doesn’t feel right try it in a different room, or different location. Remove it for a bit, bring it back. A well designed room with personality evolves over time so it’s ok if it doesn’t happen all at once!
Don’t feel the need to be too ‘matchy matchy’ and mix patterns and textures! All of the items are quick, easy and reasonably priced to switch out with your already existing decor. ANY of these pieces will be a great refresh to any space and a great place to start if you are wanting to renovate this new year.

How do you make the Vancouver condo feel just as much like home as your Kelowna residence?
You might think this is crazy, but I try to have two of everything so that I don’t need to be bringing things back and forth and always forgetting something!!! It’s fun having two different spaces and being able to decorate them differently though. I interchange some items within each home and have fun mixing up the decor. The Vancouver home needs to be functional and clutter free without being cold, so it took a ton of trial and error, adding and removing to get it just right!
