Michael Bublé gives update on son Noah’s cancer treatment

By Gemma Strong

Michael Bublé and his wife Luisana Lopilato have released a statement regarding their son Noah’s health. The three-year-old has been undergoing treatment for cancer since late last year.

In a message to fans, the couple said: "We are so grateful to report that our son Noah has been progressing well during his treatment and the doctors are very optimistic about the future for our little boy. He has been brave throughout and we continue to be inspired by his courage. Our gratitude to his doctors and caretakers cannot be put into words."

Michael, 41, and Luisana, 29, added: "We'd also like to thank the thousands of people that have sent their prayers and good wishes to us. As we continue this journey, we are greatly comforted by your support and love." The update comes three months after Michael and Luisana confirmed their little boy is battling cancer in a statement shared on Nov. 4. Since then, the pair have both stepped out of the spotlight to concentrate on caring for their son.

The couple's message was shared just a few hours after Noah's aunt, Daniela Lopilato, confirmed that he is recovering well from his cancer treatment. Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Daniela – Luisana's sister - said the prognosis was looking good for the little boy, but distanced herself from reports that she had told a journalist that Noah was now cancer-free. She wrote: "Don't use my name in the media with information and things I haven't said. Noah is doing well, and his parents will speak when they want to."

Daniela spoke publicly on the subject after Argentinian journalist Tomas Dente told TV show Nosotros a la Manana this week that nutritionist Daniela had told him: "The cancer is gone". Tomas read out a message he said Daniela had sent him after he contacted her for an update on Noah's condition. "I'm going to read word for word what Daniela told me because I don't want to miss out even a comma," he said.

"She tells me, 'Yes, Noah is recovering and we are very happy that's the case. His parents will speak when they want to do so.'"
