Nearly two years since announcing their split, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s relationship has not changed, despite reports to the contrary. An insider tells HELLO!: "Nothing has changed with them. Their focus is to be the best parents to their kids. Other than that, their relationship is still the same."
In addition, a source close to the couple shared with Entertainment Tonight: "Everything is moving at same pace it has been since their separation was announced. They have always remained civil and they are doing this at the pace they need to do for the best interest of their family. No specific event occurred or changed their relationship. It's the exact same status."
People magazine reported on Wednesday, March 8 that the couple was calling off their divorce for now to continue working on their relationship. “Jen has called off the divorce,” a source close to the actress told the publication. “She really wants to work things out with Ben. They are giving things another try.” Another source close to the couple revealed that the decision was mutual saying: "There is always a chance of reconciliation. They love each other. They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents."
The Hollywood stars, who are parents to daughters Violet, 11, Seraphina, eight, and son Sam, five, announced their decision to divorce in June of 2015. Last year in a candid interview with Vanity Fair, the mum-of-three admitted that her ex was "the love of [her] life," while opening up about her high-profile split. "I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him," she said. "And I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him, and I would again."
Jennifer, 44, continued: "You can’t have these three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous. He’s just a complicated guy. I always say, 'When his sun shines on you, you feel it.' But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow." Ben, 44, has also sung Jennifer’s praises since their separation, calling his wife the "world’s greatest mum".
