Ever since Paul Walker’s tragic passing in 2013, his memory has been kept alive by his Fast and the Furious co-stars, including Jordana Brewster. The 36-year old star recently opened up about her late friend, revealing that best part of being involved in the action film franchise was the time she got to spend with Paul on set.
“My friendship with Paul was definitely the highlight because he was the best guy. So, the bond I had with him was definitely the best part,” the actress shared during an interview with ABC News on Thursday (Mar.30).
The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story star went on to theorize where she thinks her and Paul’s on-screen personas would be today. The duo’s characters were written out of the franchise following Paul’s fatal car accident, which occurred during filming of Furious 7.
“[Mia's] with Brian, so I can’t think of a better place for her to be,” Jordana said. “In the seventh one, Mia was pregnant with a girl. So, I imagine they’re on some island, on some idyllic island, just living the life. I think it was like Fiji they were talking about, and it was always the island life they wanted.”
Vin Diesel also payed tribute to the late actor on Wednesday (Mar. 29th) at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The 49-year-old actor told fans how Paul’s life continues to be remembered in every shot of the new film The Fate of the Furious. “Part of Paul’s legacy lives through every frame that we shoot,” said Vin, adding that his friendship with Paul both on- and off-screen plays an important part in the latest car racing blockbuster. “This angel… was so integral to this concept of brotherhood…There’s something beautiful about that. There’s something celebratory about that.”
