Shania Twain has signed on to serve as a key advisor on The Voice. The superstar will appear on the Apr. 24 episode to mentor the remaining 12 contestants. “Excited to announce that I’ll appear on the @nbcthevoice this month,” tweeted the star on Thursday (Apr. 13). With a career that spans more than two decades, Shania is beyond qualified to serve up some wisdom to aspiring singers. And while we can’t wait to see her on our screens again, the announcement has us yearning for new music from the Timmins native.
Fans might not have to wait too much longer as she is putting the final touches on her long-awaited album and recently revealed some interesting little tidbits about the record to Billboard.
At the publication’s Women in Music event last month, the “Come on Over” songstress admitted that fans will be very surprised about her new sound. “[They] will hear a lot of things that they never knew,” Shania explained.
