Iman has shared a never-before-seen snap of herself with her late husband David Bowie to mark their wedding anniversary. The black-and-white photo shows the couple slow dancing together accompanied by the words, 'With you went so much of me #BowieForever,' alongside the caption which read: "April 24th #BowieForever." Fans were quick to offer their condolences, with one writing: "Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers are with you and your family on this day, we love you all." Another added: "My heart is hurting for the both of you. Such a wonderful, beautiful, genuine and one of a kind couple. Love in its finest. Massive hugs Iman."
The music icon passed away after battling liver cancer on 10 January 2016, and Iman opened up about his death at the Tom Ford show during New York Fashion Week. Wearing a gold necklace which read 'David', she said: "I'm wearing this until my death." Adding: "It's just been a tough year, but I'm holding up". She also spoke about their humanitarian partnership at the Save the Children's Fourth Annual Illumination Gala, explaining: "David was also a staunch supporter of human rights and devoted an innumerable amount of time and resources, which he chose to do anonymously," she told the audience. "I share this award with him, knowing that the fire in him lit the fire in me, and vice versa. Good partnerships have a habit of doing that."
Iman, who shares a daughter with the late star, shared a photo of a rainbow to mark the anniversary of his death in January, writing: "Jan 10th, 2016 NYC Skyline #ForeverAndEver #ForeverLove #BowieForever." She also shared a photo of herself with the singer on Valentine's Day, writing: "My forever Valentine #BowieForever #ValentinesDay."
