Bradley Cooper cleverly dodges question about daughter Lea
By Emmy Griffiths
Bradley Cooper recently sat down for his first interview since becoming a father. Sporting a beard, the new dad looked well-rested as Ellen DeGeneres congratulated him on the arrival of his daughter Lea, who he shares with model Irina Shayk.
The Silver Linings Playbook remained tight-lipped about his baby girl, and instead chatted about his upcoming new film A Star Is Born, in which he stars opposite Lady Gaga. The actor was full of praise for his co-star, telling Ellen: "She's unbelievable. Oh my god, she's unbelievable. She really is incredible…. I thought I sang, it's ok – it's so hard to sing! Singing – I had no idea. I'd get fatigued at the end of a phrase – the amount of respect I have for singers! I've really been awakened to the phenomenon of singing so I just hope I can be believable so you can watch Stefani (Gaga) shine because she's incredible."
He also spoke about his role as Rocket the racoon in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, joking: "You know when you have a pet and the pet starts to look like you? I look at him and say, yeah it's me!" Ellen joked: "I see it now too! Maybe with the beard it's starting to look more and more like you!" They also showed a clip of Bradley doing the voice for the character, and he joked about why they decided to film the moment. "There was this viral video of Hugh Jackman as Logan and they were showing him doing the climactic scene… and it looked so badass," he said. "I thought it'd be great to have one of me doing it then you just pan up and it's Rocket!"
