Outlander’s Sam Heughan goes shirtless for a very good cause

Sam Heughan sure knows how to catch people's attention! The handsome Outlander star recently shed his clothes to raise awareness for a cause very close to his heart.

The 37-year-old has teamed up with Men's Health South Africa to promote healthy living through his new initiative My Peak Challenge. In a video posted on Facebook, a shirtless Sam explained to fans that the subscription-based fitness service provides "a daily workout and nutrition program for people to help themselves create new habits, but also, while we’re doing that, we’re helping others as well."

If living a happier and healthier life isn't enough incentive, Sam has pledged 50% of profits made will go to charity.

My Peak Challenge is further described as “a global movement dedicated to educating and inspiring its members to live healthier, happier and more balanced lives while raising funds to change lives.”

Shooting the important video and magazine spread was a walk in the mountains for the Scottish star. “It’s been a great day. I get to run around the mountains with these great views,” Sam exclaimed. The actor hit the gym with Men's Health in between filming season three of Outlander in South Africa.

The full editorial has yet to be released, but to keep fans busy until the magazine hits newsstands, the actor posted some behind the scenes snaps from the active shoot on Instagram.
