Jennifer Lopez is an expert when it comes to dancing, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t open to learning some new moves. The “Ain’t Your Mama” singer agreed to take a special dance class with James Corden on his Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special, not knowing that the teachers were going to be a group of adorable little kids!
In the latest instalment of James’s hit “Toddlerography” segment (past participants include Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow) the late night host warns the former Fly Girl to prepare herself for very unique dance workout. “This class is going to make you rethink everything you thought you know about dance. The instructors are nightmares. Don't even look them in the eye,” joked the British funnyman.
The pint-size teachers wasted no time in getting the class started, leaving James and Jennifer struggling to mimic the kids’ sprightly movements to the beat of JLo’s hit 2011 song “On The Floor.” While grooving to the single, the dancing duo performed many interesting moves, from doing the splits to rolling around on the floor to even jumping up and down in place.
Being the trained dancer that she is, the Shades of Blue star had no trouble picking up the rambunctious toddlers’ steps, while James always seemed to be a few steps behind.
Like all good dance workouts, a little post-class R&R is mandatory, so James and Jennifer hit the pool – well, an inflatable pool filled with colourful plastic balls!
Jennifer’s fans are counting down the days until her new dance competition series World of Dance takes over primetime (May 30, CTV). The triple threat will be joined on the judging panel by Derek Hough and Ne-Yo, with Jenna Dewan Tatum taking on hosting duties.
The star’s personal life is just as exciting as her professional, as the loved-up star can’t help but gush over her new beau Alex Rodriguez. This week she even named him her Man Crush Monday, posting an adorable picture on Instagram of herself cuddling with the former Yankees star.
